Investigation – Contraband

Our investigators worked on a highly discreet CEE investigation to identify organised crime figures from Russia and the CIS countries, who had infiltrated our client’s logistics operation with the goal of using the logistics hub for contraband and forcing employees to pay for “protection”.

Through discreet source enquiries and advanced desktop research, we identified members of two organised criminal groups. These employees were identified as fugitives wanted for racketeering, murder, attempted murder and human trafficking.

We helped our client restructure their board, removing corrupt board members and recovering lost assets. We also liaised with police in CEE to provide police protection for the client’s auditors and employees.
