A global cement manufacturer required due diligence on a cement factory in Madhya Pradesh prior to acquisition. The area was vulnerable to Naxal influence.

Audere carried out a site visit to evaluate any operational issues. Our operatives discovered through discussions with state level environment / pollution control board officers, journalists, labour activists and factory workers that the railway line connecting the factory to the main Indian railway was not operational because of Naxalite activity, a key piece of information not disclosed to our client.

As a result of our intelligence, our client renegotiated and purchased the factory for a reduced price to reflect the issues identified.
